Sluggery Thy Name is Me

I'm Linda the Slug I am, Linda the Slug I am I am, I've been slugging all around the town, now I'm here to sl-ugg-ggg and frown, I'm the best old slug, I'm Linda, Linda The slug I am I am, Linda the Slug I am...Second Verse Same as First. (Sing to the tune of Henry The Eighth I am)

Yep I am a CHAMPION SLUG not like that guy up there...I am NOT your ordinary slug. I take sluggery very serious...and I love blue...so I had to combine the two...being a slug....

...and blue. Okay, an ELABORATE BLUE SLUG, but my job is the same...I'm just cooler.

What, you ask, does it entail, being a professional slug? Perfect question...unfortunately to answer, I have to wrestle myself out of my Sluggy recline...

...hold on...

Okay, obviously grace and elegance in spite of the laid backedness of my chosen life style.
Sluggery is not something the masses aspire too...Can't think why. Unlike you guys, we get to...

...well just belly on down...

hunker with some honest to gosh retro yoga...AND do grass...

We are encouraged to get slimy together and ooze on down the road...

So I'm a slug.

My son tells me so everytime he calls to remind me that I am the most OVEREDUCATED

 slug he knows.

On that note..I have only one thing left to say...
Suicidal Slug

Mom you are not a slug. Don't make me hurt you.

I love this! You know I have issues putting in pictures. I'd like to know how you do so many with captions too! Very cute!!!!

By the way, I don't know you, but I do know about slugs and you don't remind me of one at all!!!

Walk away from the salt! Put down the shaker and walk away. Things are never so bad that you have to resort to melting.

I never knew slugs were so pretty. Especially the blue one.

Lin said...

Usually they're not,Sue, but that one is blue. I guess anything blue HAS to be pretty. Ginger did Rochelle talk to you? She had trouble posting...blogger won't let her, so she sent me an e-mail and that's EXACTLY what she said. I DID use the salt...and soaked my many aches and pains away...Calgon took me away :).

Barbara, those aren't captions. They're the script I write before I seek any pics. I insert the pics where they fit into the script. It's why these blogs take me no less than four hours to put together AFTER I have the script written.

This whole thing came to me after our CoffeeTime Chat last night. I was just going to get up and go take my bath...but Nudge heard me thinking about bath salts and the next thing I know we're here writing about slugs...

Kat can confirm that my son DOES think I am the most over-educated slug. He tells I am wasting my education by being disabled. Can't argue with that logic. :-)

Cheryl, you're most welcome. Humor, I think, is the best weapon in the world. How can you have a war with someone that makes you laugh?

Kat, you would NEVER hurt your dear old Mom.

I love you all, Thanks for stopping and leaving your words for me.

I think I actually know a few of these guys. Can you pick out the one who looks like a particular female anatomy? Too cute.

For a slug, you're pretty cute Lin. Since you're the blue one. Luckily, I like slugs. I'm leg-ist, but only for things that have MORE than 4 legs. Things that have no legs are A-OK! ;)

I didn't know there were so many slug options. At least I know I'm in good company!

I loved this post. Keep on sluggin!

Thank you all for coming by, reading my touch of insanity, and being generous enough to leave comments. I wrote the script for this in about fifteen minutes...maybe less, but the had to scour the Google images for hours to get the right pics. Glad you all like them. Glenn ther is not way you're a slug, but if by some miracle of the Fates wicked side you are, slugs must have decided to pep up their sluggishness.

I'm rapidly reaching the point where I ahve only slept seven, maybe eight full hours in the last three days. I'm drooping, so I'm off to get another couple hours sleep.

Are there worse things in life than being a slug? Hmm.

Thanks for the chuckle.

I can not imagine a woman who creates such entertianing and informative blogs for herself and for the benefit of so many others as thinking of herself as a slug.

...but then there are the tacos that the fast food chain, Jack In The Box, makes--they taste nothing whatsoever like toacos but are somehow alluring. The filling is not like any meat known to modern man so my brother dubbed it 'slug meat' and the tacos shortly thereafter became known as 'slugs'.

So I ask...how can someone so talented, giving and loving be anything other than a gem of divergent thinking and action? Like the Jack In The Box creation, people who use their time and talent to create something that looks like one thing, but fills another need all together--Lin, you write these things called blogs, but when the reader consumes them, they are surprisingly more. YOu give us a taste of things and people unto themselves. YOu entertain, uplift and inspire we authors to continue along our road toward writing success as well as provide the reader with information about new authors/new reads that leads them to discover worlds they may never have known without your lead.

Thank you my friend, my slug.

Lin, I just had to respond to that heartfelt self-pitying email; I was feeling so sorry for you and what do I find? All these Musers got here before me to show you how grateful we all are to you for you humor and inventiveness. You are unique!

I am so deeply blessed to have found so many wonderful people to share this journey of life with. I have always held authors in the highest regard...that regard has only increased every day. You all create such amazing worlds that take us your avid fans away for a bit, but you are also some of the most honest, honorable, caring people I have ever had the fortune to know. Thank you all. You are the TRUE celebrities in this world.
